The API Program enables customers and partners to maximize their performance on the client platform and is a core part of how we plan to scale Marketing Solutions business into the future. We are looking for a Customer Solutions Engineer to play a key role in supporting this Program globally with a focus on advertiser demand. As a Customer Solutions Engineer, you will operate as the connective tissue between Marketers, our Partner Platforms, and our API ecosystem, helping marketers grow and advance their business through partner solutions or direct integrations. 

Customer Solution Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Work with sales and partner teams to interpret customer requirements and deliver integrated solutions that will drive end-customer success.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key strategic partners; build trust through your deep technical expertise of their platforms and customer needs.  
  • Collaborate with cross-functionally with Sales and Product teams to develop, manage and grow partner relationships with a focus on technical aspects (i.e. technical presentations, trainings, consultations, and best practices).  
  • Be an expert on client API capabilities and partner offerings from a technical lens; partner with sales teams to recommend partner solutions and deploy or advance successful customer integrations.  
  • Advocate for API improvements with internal product and partner engineering teams that will benefit end-customers; highlight issues, trends, and opportunities for integration enhancements.  
  • Develop integration guides and best practices to accelerate API adoption, improve time to-revenue and deliver a great customer experience.  
  • Maintain subject matter expertise on marketing technology and API trends.

Customer Solutions Engineer Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative major, such as Marketing or Engineering 
  • 4+ years’ experience in troubleshooting technical issues in a client facing role  
  • 2+ years working with AdTech/marketing technology platforms OR API partner and developer programs  
  • Exceptional candidates will have a strong background, building impactful relationships, designing and/or advocating solutions to common challenges across the marketing technology landscape. 
  • Experience with Digital Marketing
  • Consultative Approach
  • Knowledge of API workflows and how they operate through Partner Integrations
  • Presentation Skills to internal and external stakeholders

Customer Solutions Engineer Preferred Experience:

  • Prior experience with Marketing Technologies and knowledge of 1st party data collection
  • Comfortable in operating with ambiguity and being proactive in finding solutions
  • Experience in Solutions Engineering or Technical Consulting is strongly preferred 
  • Experience working with conversion tracking methodologies (Server to Server integrations, container tags, conversion tags, etc).
  • Familiarity with development and API technologies, such as JavaScript and REST
  • Proficiency in online media, ad technology, marketing technology and API partner and developer programs.  
  • Proven track record of solving complex technical problems and providing an excellent experience for customers in the process.  
  • Passionate about partner ecosystems and businesses; you enjoy staying informed about industry advances and new innovations in the space.  
  • Skilled in interacting with sales/partner business leads and technical stakeholders and translating complex customer needs.  
  • Excellent communicator; experience in technical writing.  
  • Outstanding organizational and planning skills demonstrated ability to work with complex cross-functional teams and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a rapidly growing and changing environment.  
  • Enthusiastic, can-do attitude; enjoy working with customers, solving their problems, and innovating in a fast-paced environment

The hourly pay range for this position (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location) is $37.00 to $50.00/hr in the San Francisco Bay Area and the New York Metro, $34.78 to $47.00/hr in the state of Washington and the rest of California and New York, and $30.34 to $41.00 in Colorado and in any state not already listed, the hourly pay range is $30.34 to $47.00.  Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
