Synergis' client is looking to add a QA Tester to their expanding team. The Q.A. Technician is responsible for building and maintaining all test equipment in the Q.A. lab. In this role, you are required to test electronic and mechanical functions of games, replace broken or missing parts, and ensure the games are running smoothly. This role also supports the planning, design and execution of system testing on all software developed within the company. The Q.A. Technician works collaboratively within the Q.A. department to execute and validate test cases based upon defined requirements of the product.
 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Test, troubleshoot and repair all test hardware
  • Repairing and replacing peripheral equipment such as bill acceptors, printers and modems
  • Build custom terminals and equipment for development/testing purposes
  • Review and analyze system specifications
  • Assist with test plans, cases, scripts and reports
  • Execute test cases (manual scripts or automated) and analyze results
  • Create logs to document testing phases and defects
  • Report bugs and errors to development teams
  • Help troubleshoot issues
  • Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role
  • Game technician or Electro-Mechanical Integration a plus
  • Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
  • Strong organizational skills
The compensation range for this position is $50,000 to $70,000 annually     
(dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
