Field Service Technician I
Contract to Hire

Synergis’ client, a leading healthcare organization providing timely, accessible and high-quality on-demand care to their patients, has engaged us in a search for a Field Service Engineer to join their growing team. The Field Service Engineer will be tasked to deliver exceptional customer service while being responsible for the implementation and support at each of our client’s care facilities in your market. This position will be working in a fast paced and sometimes stressful environment with a focus around agile and rapid deployment. This will include hardware and software troubleshooting, network and systems operations and telecommunications support.
Field Service Technician I | Background and Scope
- Professionally represent IT to the market using a Single Point of Contact mindset.
- Provide service and customer support via Phone, Chat, Email and In-Person field visits.
- Troubleshoot technology problems reported by users.
- Responsible for preparatory work and implementation of projects and new site rollouts which includes meeting vendors, site visits, installing equipment and testing/turn up through to first day support.
- Implement and support servers, VMs, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches.
- Build relationships and trust with Peers, Market Leadership, Leads, and Staff
- Cooperate with technical teams and share information across the organization
- Assume responsibility for customer satisfaction assuring excellent relations
- Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings
- Perform all on-site activities related to installation, repair, maintenance, and decommissioning
- Clear and effective written/verbal communications skills, with an emphasis on tracking and documenting details in applicable systems.
- Manage a dynamic workload with competing priorities.
- Adapt to a constantly changing environment; flexibility to work extended hours and weekends if needed, occasional travel required.
- Operate vehicle in a safe manner
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of hand tools and proper usage, including a digital multimeters and network testers
- Provide feedback and leadership to team members to lead them effectively and help grow them for greater responsibilities.
Field Services Technician | Requirements
- Associates Degree or equivalent work experience (HS Diploma required)
- 3+ years of recent and proven experience as a field services engineer required
- 3+ years of successful customer service experience required
- In depth knowledge and experience with server and desktop operating systems such as:
- Windows Server 2016
- Windows 7/10
- Mac OS
- Thorough knowledge of the network, host and application technologies, particularly in a healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of Citrix VMs and ability to navigate
- Basic knowledge of Active Directory
- ITSM (Information Technology Service Management) knowledge and understanding
- Familiarity and experience with healthcare regulatory compliance and reporting bodies (HIPAA, PCI, etc.)
- Ability to travel and work according to a changing schedule.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to problem-solve, troubleshoot, and repair equipment
- Thirst for knowledge and ability to learn new skills and concepts quickly
- Exceptional Customer Service and Training skillset
Field Service Technician | Preferred:
- Computer / Networking Certifications while not required is strongly preferred
- CompTIA A+ preferred
- CompTIA NET+ preferred
- Any knowledge of MDM (Mobile Device Management) would be preferred but not required
Field Service Technician | Other:
- Demonstrate a legal ability to work within the United States via I9 verification. Ability to work for any US based company without sponsorship
- Local Travel in and around the respective San Francisco region.
- May be required to support locations out of state on occasion

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $35-$42/hour (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location). Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
