TITLE: Manager, Maximo Asset Management Technology
LOCATION: Hybrid Role in Atlanta, GA
POSITION TYPE: Full-time
Manager, Maximo Asset Management Technology Responsibilities:
- Apply leadership and strategic thinking to diverse opportunities and challenges, acting as a strategic partner across all facets of the organization.
- Partner with business leaders and align technology resources and strategies to meet current and future business needs.
- Heavy involvement in overseeing Maximo development and support teams, with an emphasis on the transition to Maximo Application Suite (MAS) 8/9.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive technology roadmap for Construction and Gas Operations, ensuring Maximo initiatives are prioritized and executed successfully.
- Lead ongoing projects to expand Maximo’s footprint, including major initiatives such as Matrix and Trinity.
- Drive innovation and leverage technology, particularly Maximo, to transform business operations and create value.
- Lead the transition from the current Maximo version to MAS 8/9, providing guidance and oversight for successful implementation.
- Manage a $1M-$5M annual technology budget and oversee a project portfolio valued at $15M-$20M.
- Establish strong relationships with leadership across the organization, as well as with external vendors and suppliers.
- Ensure effective vendor management for Maximo-related projects, including statements of work, maintenance agreements, and offshore support models.
- Oversee the gas-carrying asset initiatives, including temporary oversight of gas leak surveys, a legacy asset repository, and the locating system for the next two years.
- Coordinate diverse teams involved in Maximo operations, development, and support, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across multiple projects.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and engagement, ensuring strong decision-making and organizational skills.
Manager, Maximo Asset Technology Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- At least 10 years of IT experience, with 5+ years managing medium-to-large cross-functional teams.
- Strong background in IBM Maximo, particularly within utilities (gas, power, water, nuclear).
- Preference for candidates with experience transitioning to Maximo Application Suite (MAS) 8/9.
- Proven experience leading teams in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Familiarity with System Development Lifecycle (SDLC), ITIL practices, and emerging technologies.
- Proven ability to lead and manage Maximo-based initiatives, including overseeing support, development, and transition projects.
Manager, Maximo Asset Technology Preferred Experience:
- Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change and implement innovative technology solutions, particularly in the Maximo environment.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and business leaders.
- Strong leadership abilities, including talent development, delegation, and project management in complex Maximo implementations.
