The all-new Business Development Associate role will be responsible for driving new accounts sales and business development strategies in support of the North American market. This will include a blend of lead generation, prospect relationship development, needs & pain point analysis and cold introductions of our services to potential Clients.
The ideal Candidate will have both a network and experience in consultative sales supporting Talent Services programs as applied to customer-facing industries.
Business Development Manager Responsibilities
- Adopt a strong understanding of the core service line offerings of US market (Talent Services – Training, Recruitment, Coaching / Consulting; Content Development)
- Apply entrepreneurial approach to market our offerings to new businesses / industries
- Seek out and develop lasting relationships (over the near and long terms) with network of prospective Clientele to ensure our participation in request for proposal processes
- Study and recognize trends in target industries to uncover business development opportunities for all of our offerings
- Develop strategy to participate in relevant industry conventions and conferences, industry interest groups, chambers of commerce, etc to build awareness of US offerings
- Track & report activities and align with Manager(s) regarding business development strategies
Business Development Manager Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in a consultative Sales / Business Development function
- Experience with and understanding of Retail, Automotive, Commercial Vehicle, Luxury brand, Hospitality, Banking, Insurance Industries preferred
- Entrepreneurial and creative spirit, with a strong motivation to realize the expansion of our offerings
- Proven track record of project-based sales with new accounts
- CRM system reporting experience required (Salesforce experience a plus)
- Ability to quickly engage with established network of prospective clientele
- Demonstrated exceptional client relationship building and management abilities
- Strong organizational skills, exceptional time and task management
- Relies on experience and good judgment to achieve goals
- Willingness to learn and accept responsibilities
- Problem solving / analysis skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ethical conduct + flexible / positive attitude
- Comfortable with being outside comfort zone
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates in a professional office environment and in on-site locations requiring routine travel. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and email.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
TRAVEL:
Travel is expected for this role.
The compensation range for this position is $90,000 to $120,000
(dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
