TITLE: Senior Software Engineer
LOCATION: Seattle, WA preferred but can be remote
ANTICIPATED DURATION: 12 months

This position is part of a team building high-volume image processing workflows critical to our client’s Media Products. We are looking for a self-starting, energetic individual who is not afraid to question assumptions and to learn new technologies. If you want to work in multiple languages to build real-time, user-scale image processing services and the toolchains that power them, this is a great fit for you. If you are also interested in learning new skills and technology as part of the job, and ready to face new challenges, then we would love to talk with you. This is a rare opportunity to work with a team whose work visibly touches almost all our client's services. The team works with team members distributed across the continental US, so excellent written and oral communication skills are vital.

Senior Software Engineer Requirements:

• Proficiency in implementing software in Java
• Experience with SQL and relational database systems
• Experience with NoSQL databases like Cassandra, Dynamo, or MongoDB
• Experience or curiosity about image processing or computer graphics
• Experience with managing and manipulating digital media content formats Have a belief in automation and tooling as a critical part of the software lifecycle
• Understanding of REST API design

Senior Software Engineer Preferred Experience:

• Experience with OpenCV, CoreImage, CoreGraphics and Metal
• Experience in color science or subjective image quality assessment
• Experience in computer vision/machine learning
• Experience with large-scale server-side systems and service-oriented architectures
• Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Spark, etc.)
• Experience with queue systems (SQS, Kafka, etc.)
• Experience programming in JavaScript

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $75 to $81.56 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
