Researcher Overall Responsibilities:

We are currently seeking to fill a human factors researcher role, focusing on the line of products. In this position, you will work to support Human Factors Lead researchers to measure human perceptual & cognitive responses.

 

Position Description:

The human factors researcher will develop research experiments to evaluate physical interactions with wearable devices. Objectives include the following:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand human response to visual, auditory, and haptic stimuli.
  • Assessing biometric and ergonomic responses to various wearable devices.
  • Moderating experiments & interacting with experimental participants.
  • Clearly visualizing experimental results to stakeholders.

 

Researcher Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand human response to visual, auditory, and haptic stimuli.

Researcher Required Education, Experience and Skills:

  • B.S. degree required with experience in Human Factors, Cognitive Neuroscience, HCI or related discipline. MS or PhD preferred.
  • In lieu of degrees, 3+ years of experience in related fields.
  • Proficiency in psychophysics
  • Expertise in statistics & data analysis
  • Ability to code efficiently in Matlab/R/Python
  • Skilled at conducting academic literature/database reviews
  • Familiarity with G Suite (Sheets/Docs).

 

Researcher Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Familiarity with expert evaluations.
  • Familiarity with human factors research on medical devices.
