Title: Sales Strategy Lead

Duration: 6 Month Contract

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

 

As a Cloud Platform (GCP) Sales Strategy Lead, you will help drive the global Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy for the Cloud Storage business. As part of the global GCP GTM Strategy team, you will use a data-driven approach to inform GTM plans that ensure rapid and long-term sustainable growth for our Cloud offerings.

In this role, you will collaborate with Product, Solutions, and Regional Sales teams, as well as other cross-functional teams (Marketing, Partners, Services, etc.), to drive the global GTM strategy for Cloud Storage. You will help develop the GTM plans for major product launches, get input from field teams to inform strategic product initiatives, and design effective sales plays to accelerate revenue. You will use your analytical skills to ensure a data-driven GTM strategy, your ability to think outside the box to develop innovative GTM plans and sales plays, and your communication skills to influence other cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.

 

Sales Strategy Lead Responsibilities:

  • Provide market intelligence from field input, customer needs, market data, competition, etc. to inform GTM strategy for Cloud Storage.
  • Deliver sales insights to Product leadership on a monthly and quarterly basis – including analysis of wins, losses, competitive dynamics, and technical challenges from the field.
  • Define the GTM strategy for major product launches, and identify and design new sales plays to accelerate Cloud Storage revenue.
  • Drive engagement across GTM teams (e.g., Marketing, Solutions, Support, Partners, etc.) to achieve goals for new launches and sales programs.
  • Develop cross-sell / upsell sales plays with Product Management and Solutions Engineering teams.
  • Partner with Sales and GCP Product and Sales Operations teams to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities in the Cloud Storage business.
  • Support annual strategic planning with product-level GTM insights, analysis, and recommendations.

 

Sales Strategy Lead Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:

  • Define the GTM strategy for major product launches, and identify and design new sales plays to accelerate Cloud Storage revenue.
  • Drive engagement across GTM teams (e.g., Marketing, Solutions, Support, Partners, etc.) to achieve goals for new launches and sales programs.
  • Deliver sales insights to Product leadership on a monthly and quarterly basis – including analysis of wins, losses, competitive dynamics, and technical challenges from the field.

 

Sales Strategy Lead Required Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of experience in strategic planning, consulting, FP&A, or similar field
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, combined with strong business judgment and ability to influence senior leadership with data-driven insights
  • Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and delivering results

 

Sales Strategy Lead Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • MBA
  • Experience in Storage industry and/or Cloud Computing business is a plus, including knowledge of large-scale storage systems technologies, trends and market dynamics
  • Experience in a Sales, Strategy, Marketing, and/or Business Development role; experience in Telecom, Financial Services, Healthcare or Retail industry is a plus
  • Experience partnering with highly technical Sales and Product Management professionals in a B2B-focused industry
  • Self-starter who can work in an unstructured environment, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and bring clarity and structure
