UX Designer

Anticipated Duration: 18-month contract to perm placement (full medical, dental & vision benefits offered)

Hybrid-Remote (candidates must be local to New York City or Alpharetta, GA at this time) 

We are looking for a Mid-Level UX Designer to be a part of our clients Digital Banking Platforms team, which is striving to build an industry-leading digital bank spanning cash management, personal financial management, and mortgage solutions for our customers clients.

 

As a Mid-Level UX Designer, you'll be part of an 8-person UX team in an Agile environment that includes Product Owners, Business Analysts, Technologists, Research and QA. Your projects will fall in to two categories: harmonizing the user experience between our clients capabilities and introducing new features (such as peer to peer payments) to build out a more comprehensive banking product offering. In this role you will work on the full end-to-end experience from defining user flows, to high level ?marker sketching?, to delivering polished visual designs, and executing through to development. If you are a self-starter with a penchant for collaboration this is the role for you!

 

UX Designer Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the UX lead, help execute the product vision by being involved in every step of the end-to-end product design process
  • Understand the underlying needs and motivation of our clients to ensure we achieve business goals and provide value to our clients
  • Craft intuitive and elegant experiences that empower our clients to make confident financial decisions
  • Work closely with our research team to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data and make value-driven design decisions that translate into clear, simple UIs
  • Form holistic solutions that integrate seamlessly into our wealth management product ecosystem
  • Design and deliver responsive/adaptive solutions that are optimized for web and mobile interfaces and partner with engineers to translate designs into successful products
  • Work closely with the larger Wealth Management UX team to share design best practices, align on patterns, and promote a design-centric culture at the firm
  • Advocate for all user abilities by thoroughly testing design deliverables to meet WCAG ADA compliance

 

UX Designer Qualifications:

  • You?ve spent 3+ years as a UX designer who was a key contributor to the success of products that have launched
  • You have an outstanding portfolio that demonstrates how you have created experiences that solved business and user needs
  • You have a bachelor's degree in design or related field preferably, master?s degree a plus
  • You have excellent skills in Sketch, Figma, Adobe CC and InVision
  • You thrive in a collaborative, explorative environment and value being on a diverse team that you can bounce ideas off of, get critical feedback from, and unite with to mature design thinking within a large organization
  • You practice active listening and contribute in group situations (i.e. brainstorms, audits, critiques, whiteboard sessions, etc.)
  • You get excited by complex projects with high levels of ambiguity and are resilient in the face of obstacles
  • You have a relentless desire to validate assumptions and uncover a problem?s root cause by testing, learning, and iterating
  • You have a knack for balancing user goals, technology needs and business objectives and can clearly explain the rationale for your designs and how they achieve both
  • You constantly seek opportunities to evangelize and promote design thinking in a large organization
