TITLE: Project Leader – Finance, Assurance, and Advisory

ANTICIPATION DURATON: W2 long term contract

LOCATION: Atlanta, GA

About the Role:
Are you an aspiring finance professional with a proven track record in project management, SOX compliance, and process improvement? We are seeking a dynamic Project Leader to join our Finance, Assurance, and Advisory team in Atlanta. This is an excellent leadership development opportunity designed for forward-thinking individuals with 4-5 years of relevant experience who are looking to expand their skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will lead key projects focused on Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and financial controls, providing strategic insights and guiding cross-functional teams to achieve impactful results. Your leadership will help shape our clients’ finance ecosystems while advancing your professional growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management (50%)
    Develop, plan, and execute project roadmaps for specific segments within the Assurance and Advisory Management Program. Lead multiple high-impact projects, ensuring timely delivery of objectives, resource coordination, and stakeholder communication. Facilitate cross-team collaboration to meet client expectations and project goals.

  • Process Analysis & Problem Solving (25%)
    Analyze core and support financial processes to identify risks, control gaps, and opportunities for efficiency. Create detailed process maps, evaluate metrics, and recommend improvements that enhance compliance and operational effectiveness.

  • Change Management & Stakeholder Engagement (15%)
    Support organizational change initiatives by building strong relationships with stakeholders. Develop change strategies, facilitate training sessions, and create incentive programs to ensure lasting adoption of process enhancements.

  • Data Collection & Analysis (10%)
    Gather and interpret operational, financial, and industry data to identify trends, anomalies, and risks. Use advanced data analysis tools (SQL, Excel, Workiva) to generate actionable insights, supporting financial and risk assessments.


Qualifications & Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 4-5 years of relevant experience in accounting, internal audit, or project management, preferably in a public accounting or corporate setting.
  • Strong experience in SOX testing, financial controls, and risk assessment.
  • CPA, CIA, or CISA certification (or in progress) is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with experience guiding teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency with SQL, Workiva, Excel, and workflow automation tools.
  • Well-rounded candidate with strong analytical skills, problem-solving capabilities, and a growth mindset.

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $40.00 to $52.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
