About the Role

We’re looking for a modern Conversational Designer who understands how the space is evolving — moving beyond traditional IVR trees and rigid dialogue flows into prompt-based, AI-driven conversational agents.

This team is actively working with next-generation conversational platforms (including Google’s next-gen agent ecosystem) and shifting away from legacy voice/dialogue models toward more dynamic, LLM-powered experiences.

This is not a traditional chatbot/IVR role. We’re looking for someone who can design adaptive, intelligent conversations, think in terms of agent behavior and prompting, and help shape what “good” looks like in this next wave of conversational AI.


What You’ll Do

  • Design conversational experiences across voice and chat, with a growing focus on AI-driven agent interactions
  • Create and refine prompt strategies, agent behaviors, and conversational logic (beyond static dialogue trees)
  • Contribute to work involving next-gen conversational agents and evolving platform ecosystems
  • Help define the “before vs. after” — improving legacy experiences into modern, intelligent interactions
  • Partner with product, engineering, and design to bring conversational experiences to life
  • Translate complex business needs into clear, natural, and scalable conversational interactions
  • Test, iterate, and optimize experiences using user behavior, conversation data, and performance metrics

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience designing conversational experiences across voice and/or chat
  • Strong understanding of modern conversational design patterns, including:
    • Prompt design / prompt engineering
    • Agent behavior modeling
    • Handling ambiguity and non-linear interactions
  • Ability to move beyond rigid flows into dynamic, AI-driven conversation design
  • Experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional enterprise environments
  • Strong storytelling skills — able to clearly articulate how experiences evolve from legacy → modern AI-driven states

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Google conversational platforms (Dialogflow CX, CCAI, or next-gen agent tools)
  • Exposure to Agent Development Kit (ADK) or similar emerging frameworks (not required)
  • Familiarity with LLMs, NLP/NLU concepts, and AI agent ecosystems
  • Background in voice UX, speech systems, or IVR modernization efforts
  • Experience in enterprise or regulated industries

What’s Changed (Important Context)

  • Moving away from traditional IVR/dialogue tree design
  • Less focus on legacy migrations and static flow-building
  • Greater emphasis on:
    • Prompt-based conversational design
    • AI agent behavior
    • Next-gen conversational platforms
  • Candidates with only tools like Voiceflow (traditional usage) may face a learning curve — adaptability is key

Compensation

  • Hourly rate: $60–$70/hr W2 (based on experience, location, and client requirements)


The hourly pay rate range for this position is $60.00 to $70.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location). Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
