UX Content Specialist/Strategist
Digital Content Strategist (Contract)
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Digital Content Strategist to support a large-scale website refresh and ongoing digital content initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of content strategy and execution—someone who can translate digital strategy into clear, engaging, and customer-focused content experiences.
The successful candidate will play a key role in auditing, optimizing, and creating website content that aligns with new site templates, customer journeys, SEO best practices, and evolving digital experiences. While this is a hands-on content role, it requires strong strategic thinking to ensure content supports business objectives, customer needs, and discoverability across traditional and AI-driven search experiences.
This is a full-time contract opportunity with the potential for ongoing engagement based on business needs.
What You'll Do
- Conduct audits of existing website content to evaluate effectiveness, relevance, and alignment with business objectives.
- Analyze content and recommend whether pages should be retained, updated, consolidated, or retired.
- Write, edit, and optimize web content to align with updated site templates, user journeys, and digital experience standards.
- Develop new content and update existing content across a large-scale website environment.
- Translate strategic direction and content recommendations into customer-centric digital experiences.
- Ensure consistency in voice, tone, messaging, and brand standards across all content.
- Apply SEO and emerging answer engine optimization (AEO) best practices to improve discoverability and engagement.
- Utilize AI-assisted content tools to support content creation and scale while maintaining quality and accuracy.
- Collaborate closely with content strategists, product marketers, UX teams, and digital stakeholders.
- Support ongoing content governance and optimization efforts as website structures and business priorities evolve.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in content strategy, content design, UX writing, digital content development, or a related field.
- Experience supporting website redesigns, content migrations, or large-scale website refresh initiatives.
- Strong understanding of digital content strategy and how content supports the end-to-end customer experience.
- Proven experience conducting content audits and developing actionable recommendations.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and content organization skills.
- Working knowledge of SEO best practices and evolving AI-driven search experiences.
- Experience collaborating with UX, design, product, marketing, and digital teams.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and digital publishing workflows.
- Experience working within design systems and partnering with design teams using tools such as Figma.
- Comfortable leveraging AI-assisted content tools to improve efficiency and scale content production.
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience supporting B2B, SMB, or enterprise audiences is a plus.
Preferred Experience
- Website content migration and governance initiatives.
- Accessibility and inclusive content practices.
- Content modeling, taxonomy development, and information architecture.
- Analytics-driven content optimization and performance measurement.
- Experience working in highly regulated or complex industries.
What Success Looks Like
- High-quality, customer-focused content delivered on time and at scale.
- Improved content consistency, usability, and discoverability across digital experiences.
- Successful execution of content updates supporting a broader website transformation initiative.
- Strong cross-functional partnerships that enable efficient content delivery and continuous optimization.
