Title: Data Center Analyst
Location: Onsite (Auburn, AL)
Anticipated Duration: 6+ month W2 Contract
Job Summary
The Data Center Analyst is responsible for the physical installation, maintenance, and support of server equipment. This role requires technical proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a mission-critical, fast-paced environment. Primary duties include racking and stacking of server hardware, conducting regular maintenance, and ensuring accurate documentation of equipment and operational changes.
Key Responsibilities

Racking & Stacking: Install, move, and secure server and network equipment in racks; connect power, network, and related cabling; ensure proper labeling and documentation.

Maintenance & Upkeep: Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance of server hardware; assist with upgrades and component replacements.

Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of equipment installations, moves, and changes; update inventory management systems; report issues to the Data Center Operations Manager.

Collaboration & Support: Partner with IT teams to ensure reliable data center operations; support data center projects and initiatives; assist in developing and implementing operational policies and procedures.
Qualifications

Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Basic knowledge of server and network hardware; prior data center operations experience preferred.

Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs of equipment.

Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Working Conditions

Role based in a data center environment with exposure to noise and varying temperatures.

Occasional after-hours or weekend work may be required to support operations.
The compensation range for this position is $30/hr. to $40/hr. (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
