IT Field Operations Break Fix/Least Term (BLT) Technician

Gulfport, MS

3+ Year W2 Contract with Full Benefits

JOB SUMMARY: The IT Field Operations BLT Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance and support (both hardware and software) for End User Devices, including desktops, laptops, printers, Toughbooks, tablets, phones and other end user and mobile devices.  This includes diagnosing and repairing Windows 10 operating system issues, hardware issues, mobility and connectivity issues. These systems are installed, maintained and repaired in accordance with established standards, service levels and operational processes.  Additionally, this position provides project support for technology initiatives.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Two-year degree (college/technical/vocational) or equivalent hands-on experience in computer systems or information technology is required.
  • Must be able to effectively provide support remotely, utilizing remote support tools, such as Remote Assistance, Remote Desktop, Skype, LogMeIn, Bomgar, etc.
  • Understanding of local area networks in a VoIP environment is required.
  • Understanding of cyber security issues with the ability to respond to alerts and escalations in a timely manner
  • Knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot and repair PC hardware, operating systems, and associated peripheral and software components.
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of Windows 10 with the ability to diagnose and resolve Windows 10 operating system problems.
  • Must be proficient in Office 365
  • Ability to work independently, self-starter with good time management skills.
  • Must have good verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, as well as climb in and maneuver in small and large company vehicles
    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for interfacing with customers to schedule work and ensure that customer expectations are met upon completion of work.
  • Responsible for interfacing with other IT groups related to problems and installations as appropriate.
  • Responsible for managing and effectively prioritizing a large number of work requests.
  • Responsible for maintaining current images on media.  Responsible for keeping abreast of current installation procedures.
  • Responsible for understanding and adhering to billing and performance processes and procedures.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate equipment inventories, as well as accurate and timely completion of any required documentation.
  • Responsible for installing standard, endorsed or certified off the shelf software and/or hardware devices, and provide minimal onsite training to get the client started. BEHAVIORAL ATTRIBUTES

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $20 to $26 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location). Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
