TITLE: Retail Mortgage Loan Originator Recruiter

ANTICIPATION DURATON: 6+ Months

Position Overview:

Manage full-cycle recruiting of Retail Mortgage Loan Originators, including strategic sourcing techniques to attract passive candidates (cold calling included). Partner with hiring leaders to understand key markets and hiring needs, supporting leaders with all recruiting-related requests.

Expectations: A minimum of 2 MLO leads submitted per week and a minimum of 6 recruiter-sourced MLO hires per year.

 

Job Description:

  • Support business objectives by proactively sourcing, assessing, and recruiting top talent with limited assistance from outside agencies.
  • Identify candidates using a variety of sources and techniques, knowing the best channels to find and reach diverse talent pools.
  • Drive the recruiting process in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Provide a diverse talent pool and a positive experience for both hiring managers and candidates.
  • MS Office experience required.

  • Systems: Phenom and Workday
  • Basic knowledge of talent acquisition processes, including sourcing and selection of a broad, diverse population of applicants
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Basic marketing and recruitment networking skills
  • Ability to review and understand data, trends, and metrics
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Intermediate computer skills, especially Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems

 

About the Team:

The team consists of nine recruiters who support CA Branch and Small Business Banking + Consumer Lending nationwide. This role will partner with internal teams including consumer lending hiring leaders, admin support, onboarding, talent attraction, sourcing, and global enterprise recruiting. The recruiter will also engage directly with external candidates to source and hire talent.

 

About the Ideal Candidate:

The ideal recruiter will have a proven track record of success in sourcing and hiring Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs) within the banking or mortgage lending industry. This individual should be skilled in passive recruiting within a competitive, regulated environment and possess strong industry knowledge. Collaboration is key—working closely with hiring leaders to understand market-specific needs and provide consultative support throughout the hiring process. Adaptability and agility are essential to success in this role.

 

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $30.83 to $36.27 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
