Graphics Developer
TITLE: Graphics Developer
LOCATION: Remote
ANTICIPATED DURATION: 12 months
Responsibilities:
- Design and build real-time visual effects, prototypes, and creative tools
- Collaborate closely with designers, producers, creative directors, and engineers to implement visual effects
- Translate visual ideas and references into performant, reusable rendering solutions
- Combine technical precision with visual quality and composition
- Develop shaders, pipelines, and tools used by non-engineering collaborators
Requirements:
- 7-10 years of experience with real-time graphics and rendering pipelines
- Strong knowledge of Metal Shading Language (MSL) or equivalent shader languages
- Understanding of ray tracing, ray marching, volumetric rendering, and real-time lighting models
- Proficient with Git and collaborative workflows
- Strong communication skills to bridge creative and technical perspectives
- Familiarity with content creation tools such as TouchDesigner, Houdini, or Reality Composer
Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with Core Animation, Core Graphics, USD, or SceneKit
- Experience building apps end-to-end on Apple platforms
- Proficiency in Objective-C or C++ (Swift a plus)
- Experience with AppKit or UIKit environments
- Skilled in concurrent programming, debugging, and performance optimization
The hourly pay rate range for this position is $100.00 to $120.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
