TITLE: Software Engineer II

LOCATION: Remote (Part time) 

ANTICIPATED DURATION: From 01/19/2026 to 09/25/2026



Responsibilities:

  • Create a framework for managing jobs on a combination of on-premises and external cloud compute
  • Allocate a compute node to load an LLM, retrieve queries from remote storage, and generate responses
  • Ensure the framework is robust and includes fault tolerance for job restart and recovery
  • Manage child nodes to be brought down cleanly upon job success



Requirements:

  • Experience working with Python
  • Experience working with LLM inference libraries (e.g., vLLM, transformers, or nemotron)
  • Experience with Kubernetes, including managing tasks and coordinating containers
  • Experience building robust distributed applications with fault tolerance
  • Experience working with AWS or GCP cloud platforms
  • Experience using basic git functionality, including branching, pull requests, reviews, and merging
  • Experience writing unit tests
  • Excellent collaboration skills



Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with PyTorch
  • Experience with API design



The hourly pay rate range for this position is $45.00 to $55.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
