UX Design Operations Project Manager
W2 contract until 12/31/26 – potential to extend
3 days onsite in Minneapolis MN
As a UX Design Operations Project Manager, you will lead cross-functional initiatives that propel design maturity and streamline organizational workflows, making a tangible impact on business outcomes. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with senior leaders and shape the future of experience design through strategic project execution and innovative tooling.
What You'll Bring:
- Over 8 years of proven project and program management experience with a focus on design operations
- Demonstrated success in leading strategic initiatives across diverse teams and stakeholders
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage upwards and across organizations
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, keen attention to detail, and highly organized
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in design thinking, design systems, and agile methodologies
- Hands-on experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Dragonboat, Figma, and Mural
- Adept at developing project plans, tracking progress, managing risks, and delivering executive-ready updates
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with design tool governance and vendor coordination
- Experience in organizational transformation projects
- Knowledge of enterprise governance standards and reporting
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Design, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in project management within design or digital teams
The hourly pay rate range for this position is $70.00 to $71.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location). Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
