TITLE: Senior Manager, Data Services
LOCATION: Remote
Responsibilities:
- Lead the enterprise data platforms and the teams that operate them.
- Own systems that deliver trusted data to various departments including Finance, Marketing, Growth, Operations, Revenue Cycle, People, Clinical teams, and Executive Leadership.
- Ensure stability, reliability, and continuity for the business today while modernizing the data environment.
- Oversee platform reliability, data readiness, and enterprise data trust.
- Manage both modern cloud platforms and legacy data systems.
- Partner with department leadership to ensure data is accurate, timely, and ready for decision-making.
- Establish and enforce standards for data building, promotion, and release.
- Define and manage production support processes, including on-call coverage and incident response.
- Stabilize and document legacy systems like SSIS while defining modernization paths.
- Embed data quality checks and validation into pipelines (e.g., dbt, airflow).
- Lead, mentor, and develop data engineering and platform team members.
- Prioritize work based on business risk, operational impact, and platform health.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data platform roles.
- 3+ years of leadership experience in enterprise data or platform teams.
- Hands-on experience operating production data systems with uptime, delivery, and support expectations.
- Strong knowledge of cloud data warehouses, analytics tools (e.g., dbt), orchestration frameworks (e.g., Airflow), and ELT tools (e.g., Fivetran).
- Support and stabilization experience with legacy ETL systems such as SSIS and managing hybrid data environments.
- Knowledge of Azure-based data infrastructure & Snowflake, security, and cost considerations.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven leadership skills, setting priorities, and building sustainable models.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in healthcare, regulated industries, or multi-entity environments.
- Experience modernizing legacy data platforms alongside cloud-native systems.
- Experience partnering with Finance, Marketing, and Operations leadership.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering.
The compensation range for this position is $150,000.00 to $170,000.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
