TITLE: UX Architect
LOCATION: Minneapolis, MN, New York, NY, Atlanta, GA OR Charlotte, NC – hybrid 3 days onsite
ANTICIPATED DURATION: From 03/23/2026 to 12/31/2026
Responsibilities:
- Use human-centered, accessible design techniques such as personas, user flows, wireframes, and prototypes to determine and convey design decisions.
- Optimize experience architecture to promote findability and usability while considering technical and business needs.
- Review artifacts and deliverables from peers to ensure they accurately represent or improve existing layout, design, and interaction patterns.
- Collaborate with teams to determine road maps to reach desired results.
- Assist with research and coordination of response to consumer feedback.
- Actively participate in design and testing protocols.
- Partner with Experience Design peers and researchers to create world-class customer experiences.
- Develop guidelines for architects, designers, and developers to ensure compliance with accessibility standards.
- Engage in quality audits and remediations where necessary.
- Collaborate with various teams to translate requirements into experience architectures.
- Review artifacts and deliverables from peers to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Mentor others on assistive technology from the user’s perspective.
- Collaborate in outreach and training initiatives for designers, developers, and content providers.
- Stay current with trends and developments in web, application, and software accessibility/inclusion.
- Observe user interviews and usability sessions.
- Work on multiple tasks or projects in an agile environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience.
- One to three years of related work experience.
- Understanding of front-end development process.
- Strong UX design skills with 5+ years experience.
- Strong experience with Figma (2+ years).
- Experience in leading UX design teams (2+ designers) for at least 2 years.
- Knowledge of web accessibility standards (A11Y).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Knowledge of user experience design best practices, interactive design principles, and current web accessibility standards.
- Experience with semantic HTML and ARIA markup.
- Familiarity with JavaScript.
- Experience with assistive technologies like JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack.
- IAAP CPACC or Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) certification is a plus.
- Experience working in a cross-channel environment, including desktop, mobile, and physical locations.
- Experience collaborating with large teams and facilitating workshops.
The hourly pay range for this position (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location) is $65.00 to $68.97/hr.
