Social Media Manager
W2 6-month contract, potential to extend3 days onsite in Bryant Park NY
We are seeking a creative and data-driven Social Media Manager to oversee our social media and content programming. This role will be responsible for producing engaging content, managing our social media platforms, and analyzing performance metrics to drive engagement and growth.
Key Responsibilities:

Content Programming:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media content calendar.
- Curate and produce weather-related content that aligns with our brand voice and audience interests.

Basic Content Production (MOST IMPORTANT):
- Create visually appealing graphics, videos, and written content for various social media platforms.
- Collaborate with the marketing and meteorology teams to ensure accurate and timely information dissemination.

Content Performance Reporting:
- Monitor and analyze the performance of social media campaigns and content.
- Prepare regular reports on key metrics, insights, and recommendations for improvement.

Trend Monitoring:
- Stay updated on the latest social media trends and best practices.
- Implement innovative strategies to enhance audience engagement and reach.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience in social media management, preferably with a consumer weather or lifestyle brand.
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in graphic design and video editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Experience with social media analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to occasionally work weekend shifts for extreme weather and timely events
The hourly pay rate range for this position is $60.00 to $65.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location). Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
