.NET Application Developer
TITLE: .NET Application Developer
LOCATION: Birmingham, AL (onsite 4 days per week)
ANTICIPATED DURATION: 12+ Month Contract (potential for perm conversion)
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and modernize enterprise applications by translating business and technical requirements into high-quality code.
- Create and maintain Technical Design Documents and supporting documentation.
- Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and improve application performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with product owners and team members in an Agile/Scrum environment, participating in planning, ceremonies, code reviews, testing, and deployments.
- Support deployment and release activities to ensure smooth transitions to production.
- Provide production and on-call support, resolving issues independently and assisting team members.
- Leverage AI assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to improve development speed and quality.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring solutions align with organizational goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong experience with C#/.NET development and enterprise application delivery.
- Proven experience modernizing or rewriting legacy applications.
- Hands-on experience developing solutions using .NET, C#, and SQL.
- Experience with modern .NET frontend technologies such as Blazor.
- Experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms.
- Experience developing against REST, GraphQL, and SOAP APIs.
- Understanding of distributed and cloud-native architectures, including microservices, modular monoliths, and vertical slices.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, system integrations, and modernization efforts (e.g., SSIS).
- Proven experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Experience:
The hourly pay rate range for this position is $50.00 to $55.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
