Data Analyst
TITLE: Data Analyst
LOCATION: Minneapolis, MN (hybrid, on-site Tuesday – Thursday)
ANTICIPATED DURATION: 6 months
Responsibilities:
- Provide application and data support for a newly developed internal system.
- Maintain data integrity and support operational reporting.
- Ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of the application.
- Run, reconcile, and validate recurring and ad hoc application reports.
- Perform data tie-outs and variance analysis across systems.
- Support onboarding of new clients, including data setup and validation.
- Investigate and resolve data validation errors and data quality issues.
- Partner with internal teams to deliver reports and data outputs.
- Participate in testing and validation for system enhancements.
- Identify opportunities to improve data controls and reporting processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in a data analyst, reporting, or application support role.
- Strong SQL experience, including writing queries for validation and reconciliation.
- Strong communication skills to explain data issues and resolutions.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience using Alteryx.
- Background in financial services, asset management, or fund administration.
- Experience supporting internally developed applications or enterprise data platforms.
- Familiarity with data controls, validation frameworks, or audit support processes.
- Ability to write Transact-SQL code to support business questions.
- Experience creating reports with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services.
- Use and construction of Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services.
- Experience with SharePoint using the BI Stack.
- Ability to visualize data to answer business questions.
The hourly pay rate range for this position is $35 to $41.38 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
