What You’ll Do:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable data ingestion pipelines from various third-party and internal APIs (REST, SOAP, etc.).
- Implement efficient ETL/ELT processes to transform and load data into Snowflake, Postgres, or Databricks environments.
- Manage and optimize data storage schemas and performance in Snowflake and Relational Databases.
- Leverage Databricks for data processing, transformation, and pipeline orchestration using tools like PySpark and notebooks.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, and integrity throughout all stages of pipeline development.
- Collaborate with data analysts and BI teams to understand data requirements and optimize data models for performance.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve data pipelines to ensure seamless operation.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and implement best practices for data security and governance.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in data engineering with a focus on API integration and database management.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, database design, query optimization, and performance tuning (especially Postgres).
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake for data loading, querying, and performance enhancement.
- Expertise in Databricks, PySpark, and notebook-based data processing.
- Programming proficiency in Python or similar languages used in data engineering.
- Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing principles and BI data support, particularly with tools like Tableau.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, independence, and strong communication abilities.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Familiarity with ETL/orchestration tools like Airflow, Fivetran, or dbt.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
- Prior consulting or contract experience.
- Knowledge of data governance, compliance standards, and visualization best practices in Tableau.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in data engineering, API integration, and database management.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
- Willingness to support ongoing data security and governance initiatives.

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $49.18 to $64.18 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location). Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
