What You Will Do:

• Manage and validate metadata for data assets within our centralized data registry, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Apply data classifications and tags in accordance with privacy standards and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure comprehensive documentation.
• Support migration activities by mapping metadata to new schemas, ensuring smooth transitions without compliance gaps.
• Monitor and execute compliance controls, including audit preparations, vulnerability tracking, and regulatory assessments like PCI DSS, SOX, and more.
• Oversee tools such as Splunk, GitHub, and compliance platforms like Compass and Verdad, maintaining tool health and flagging issues.
• Track and manage internal projects and audit evidence collection to ensure timely completion and compliance adherence.
• Support AWS cloud operations related to compliance infrastructure and security posture.

Required Skills:

• 10+ years of experience in compliance engineering, data governance, or privacy engineering.
• Hands-on expertise with data classification frameworks, metadata management, and enterprise data ecosystems.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as PCI DSS, PCI PIN, SOX, GDPR, and CCPA.
• Proficiency with compliance monitoring tools like Splunk, GitHub, and cloud management platforms.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams efficiently.
• Excellent documentation skills with tools like Confluence and Quip.
• Experience with AWS cloud services and routine cloud operations.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Certifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, PCI QSA, CIPM/CIPP, or AWS certifications.
• Familiarity with vulnerability management and patching lifecycle processes.
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments with complex data architectures.
• Knowledge of privacy-by-design principles and privacy regulations like GDPR or CCPA.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills to engage both technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in enterprise compliance, privacy, and data governance roles.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work across multiple teams and manage international or remote stakeholders.
• Willingness to perform routine cloud operational tasks as required.

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $61.50 to $85.75 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
