What You Will Do:
- Manage and validate metadata for data assets within our centralized data registry, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Apply data classifications and tags in accordance with privacy standards and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure comprehensive documentation.
- Support migration activities by mapping metadata to new schemas, ensuring smooth transitions without compliance gaps.
- Monitor and execute compliance controls, including audit preparations, vulnerability tracking, and regulatory assessments like PCI DSS, SOX, and more.
- Oversee tools such as Splunk, GitHub, and compliance platforms like Compass and Verdad, maintaining tool health and flagging issues.
- Track and manage internal projects and audit evidence collection to ensure timely completion and compliance adherence.
- Support AWS cloud operations related to compliance infrastructure and security posture.
Required Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in compliance engineering, data governance, or privacy engineering.
- Hands-on expertise with data classification frameworks, metadata management, and enterprise data ecosystems.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as PCI DSS, PCI PIN, SOX, GDPR, and CCPA.
- Proficiency with compliance monitoring tools like Splunk, GitHub, and cloud management platforms.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams efficiently.
- Excellent documentation skills with tools like Confluence and Quip.
- Experience with AWS cloud services and routine cloud operations.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Certifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, PCI QSA, CIPM/CIPP, or AWS certifications.
- Familiarity with vulnerability management and patching lifecycle processes.
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments with complex data architectures.
- Knowledge of privacy-by-design principles and privacy regulations like GDPR or CCPA.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills to engage both technical and non-technical teams.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in enterprise compliance, privacy, and data governance roles.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work across multiple teams and manage international or remote stakeholders.
- Willingness to perform routine cloud operational tasks as required.

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $61.50 to $85.75 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location). Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
