Senior Help Desk Analyst
TITLE: Senior Help Desk Analyst
LOCATION: Birmingham, AL .
ANTICIPATED DURATION: From 08/03/2026 to 08/03/2029
Responsibilities:
- Provide frontline support as the single point of contact for business partners requiring assistance from the Technology Organization (TO).
- Respond to support needs promptly, utilizing phone and voice communication technologies.
- Communicate and educate end-users about current and future technology products.
- Coordinate communication with Infrastructure Operations Center, Application Portfolio teams, and other support units.
- Follow established processes and procedures, including Sarbanes-Oxley controls.
- Work collaboratively with other technology departments and key business units.
- Ensure accurate documentation of incidents for trend analysis and call avoidance.
- Develop solutions and fix technology issues for clients.
- Contribute to meeting business partners’ technology needs and satisfaction.
Requirements:
- B.S. degree in a technology related field, preferred.
- 1 to 3 years’ experience in computer/technology field, preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of information technologies, infrastructure, and telecommunication transport.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships within IT and other departments.
- Demonstrated willingness to take ownership of technical issues.
- Exceptional analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Ability to make decisions independently with little or no management input.
- Self-starter with initiative and independent thinking.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of IT software and hardware configurations, including desktops, printers, phones/radios, network configurations, and Windows 10.
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN technology.
- Working knowledge of mainframe technology and associated applications.
- Working knowledge of access technologies and telecommunication terminology.
- Knowledge of Remedy Event Management System.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working in customer service roles in a technical environment.
- Familiarity with enterprise IT support processes and tools.
- Ability to handle high-volume support and incident documentation.
- Capacity to operate with minimal supervision and autonomy.
- Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance procedures.
The hourly pay rate range for this position is $25.00 to $35.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
