Product Design Engineer IV — Channel Store Fixture Engineering (Global Retail Experiences)
Overview:
In this role, you’ll build deep alignment to program goals (aesthetics, installation/maintenance needs, and safety standards), then partner closely with international vendors to develop and validate fixture designs that are ready for mass production—while navigating the ambiguity and momentum of an early-stage team.
Required Skills
- Mechanical engineering fundamentals with strong mechanical intuition, including understanding of solid mechanics and material properties
- Ability to engineer multiple fixture programs in parallel (e.g., tables, walls, and other furniture elements)
- Experience working with external vendors in an ODM development model
- Ability to iterate, validate, and productionize designs using manufacturing data and engineering analyses (e.g., stress, failure, tolerance)
- Strong collaboration skills—able to present, listen actively, incorporate feedback, and thoughtfully challenge assumptions when needed
- Clear written and verbal communication skills across job levels and cross-functional partners
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, curious, and energized by collaborative problem-solving
Nice to Have Skills
- Working knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD software
- Familiarity with metal manufacturing methodologies
- Experience with FEA, DFMEA, and root cause analysis
- Background in computer and/or furniture-related industries (not required; strong engineering fundamentals from other analytical fields are welcomed)
Preferred Education and Experience

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
- 7+ years of relevant experience
Other Requirements

Willingness and ability to travel up to 15% (domestic and international) to vendors and installation sites to support builds, validate designs, and investigate failures

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $80.00 to $85.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location). Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
