Asset Protection Project Manager
Job Title: Project Manager – Access Controls (Retail Construction & Security Systems)
Location: Atlanta, GA (On-site Mon–Thurs; minimal travel)
Employment Type: Longterm W2 Contract
Overview:
We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee access control and security technology initiatives for a Fortune 500 retail client. This role will focus on supporting new store construction projects, managing rollouts of security systems, and ensuring alignment with safety and loss prevention goals. The ideal candidate will bring experience in project management, retail asset protection (AP/loss prevention), and CCTV systems, with additional expertise in weapons detection technologies and construction documentation platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate security-related projects for new store construction, including IP cameras, CCTV, burglar alarms, locking carts, weapons detection systems (e.g., Evolv), and egress gate technology.
- Facilitate weekly 4-hour calls with vendors and construction teams to review project requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
- Manage rollouts of low-voltage and access control technologies across multiple locations.
- Oversee camera mapping, installation, and integration processes.
- Utilize platforms such as Site Owl and Bluebeam for project documentation, camera mapping, and workflow management.
- Collaborate with internal asset protection, facilities, and construction teams to ensure consistency and compliance with corporate standards.
- Support vendor management, timelines, and project documentation.
- Serve as the primary project liaison for safety and mitigation initiatives related to access controls.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in retail, construction, or security technology.
- Background in asset protection/loss prevention strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with CCTV, IP cameras, burglar alarms, weapons detection systems (Evolv), and related access control systems.
- Proficiency in Site Owl and/or Bluebeam for construction and security documentation.
- Experience managing construction or rollout projects with multiple vendors.
- CAD experience is helpful but not required.
- Strong organizational, communication, and vendor management skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Atlanta (Mon–Thurs); minimal travel expected.
Preferred Experience:
- Retail loss prevention/asset protection environments.
- Security technology rollouts at scale (cameras, access controls, locking carts, egress gates, weapons detection systems).
- Exposure to networking or low-voltage systems.
- Ability to quickly learn proprietary access control systems; training will be provided if needed.
The hourly pay rate range for this position is $30-60/hour (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
