We are currently seeking a Junior Data Engineer to spearhead the development and optimization of our data infrastructure, embodying our commitment to quality care through data insights.

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Engineer to join our Data Services Team. The ideal candidate will assist in the development, maintenance, and optimization of data pipelines, leveraging Snowflake for efficient data storage and processing. As a Junior Data Engineer, you will collaborate with senior data engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless data integration, transformation, and accessibility.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the design, development, and optimization of data pipelines in Snowflake.
  • Work with structured and semi-structured data to ensure proper storage, retrieval, and transformation processes.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to integrate data from various sources into the Data Warehouse.
  • Perform routine data validation and quality checks to ensure accurate and consistent data.
  • Write and maintain efficient SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.
  • Assist in building and maintaining automated processes for ETL (Extract, Transform, Load).
  • Monitor and optimize data performance within Snowflake, ensuring high availability and scalability.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues and incidents.
  • Support data reporting and analytical needs by providing clean, structured data to stakeholders.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of Snowflake and cloud-based data warehousing concepts.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating data.
  • Experience with Python for data manipulation, automation, and ETL tasks.
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and data pipeline frameworks.
  • Experience working with structured and semi-structured data (e.g., JSON, XML).
  • Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Snowflake services, such as SnowPipe, Streams & Tasks, and Snowflake Security.
  • Knowledge of data orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, dbt).
  • Knowledge of data modeling, data integration, and database performance optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with Python, Java, or other programming languages for automation and data engineering tasks.
  • Basic understanding of cloud services, particularly Azure.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.

The compensation range for this position is $80,000 to $90,000    
(dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
