Automation Engineer

Role: UAT Analyst – Automation
Location: Cupertino, CA or Austin, TX

Overview
We are seeking a UAT Analyst – Automation with strong expertise in test automation, mobile testing, and end-to-end system validation. This role will focus on building and executing automation frameworks, testing on-device mobile applications, and ensuring high-quality delivery of enterprise-level systems.

Key Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and/or User Acceptance Testing, including 5+ years in test automation for end-to-end systems.

• Strong expertise in Python, with a focus on writing test automation scripts.

• Expertise in iOS automation.

• Hands-on experience with Selenium and Appium.

• Experience designing and creating test automation frameworks and tools, particularly for on-device mobile testing.

• Full lifecycle testing experience, from project inception through delivery.

• Front-End Development: JavaScript and frameworks such as React.

• Back-End Development: Server-side logic development using Python; API management and third-party service integration.

• Database Management: Designing and managing databases (Postgres) with a focus on data integrity and security.

• DevOps & Maintenance: Implementing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins), monitoring application performance, and troubleshooting issues.

Optional Skills

• Experience with Charles, Git, Jenkins, and related tools.

• Automation of data analytics and reporting across multiple systems.

• Solid understanding of build tools and CI/CD integrations.

• Experience coordinating with multiple engineering and product teams to expedite issue resolution.

• Strong documentation skills, including test progress, status reports, defect tracking, and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Independently execute and track testing/validation efforts for mobile systems.

• Develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, and scripts to ensure high coverage across new and existing features.

• Conduct on-device testing of user experiences across a variety of mobile applications.

• Write automated tests for iOS applications using Python and Swift.

• Manage multiple initiatives, prioritizing feature and campaign testing with timely documentation and delivery.

• Provide documentation of testing scope, plans, results, and defect resolution tracking.

• Deliver clear communication of progress through test status reports, metrics, coverage reports, and defect logs.
  
  The hourly pay range for this position (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location) is $65.00 to $70.00/hr.  Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
