Books Merchandiser
TITLE: Book Merchandiser
ANTICIPATION DURATON: 6+ months
LOCATION: Cupertino, CA
Our client is looking for an organized, proactive merchandiser and partner relations coordinator. You’ll join a business/editorial team committed to connecting readers and listeners to the stories, information, and inspiration ebooks and audiobooks contain. Our goal is to help users discover their next read or listen, no matter their interest, as they build a library that will enrich their lives.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Books team in merchandising the ebook and audiobooks storefronts
- Curate a rich discovery experience to drive business objectives
- Maintain business relationships with publisher partners
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Establish and implement processes to maximize efficiency
- Communicate effectively with team members and external partners
- Analyze and communicate results clearly and effectively to leaders
Requirements:
- Passion for books—reading or listening
- Minimum 2 years experience working with content management systems and databases
- Experience in sales, marketing, or merchandising in the digital space
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and pivot quickly between tasks
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in Excel/Numbers and Keynote
- Ability to collaborate within the team and with a broader cross-functional group
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in the book/audiobook industry or with digital media
- Experience working with outside partners and growing business relationships
- Interest in the publishing business and digital merchandising
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience
The hourly pay rate range for this position is $45.00 to $55.97/hr (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
