Meteorology/Meteorologist
W2 long term contract 
Atlanta GA  


What You'll Do:
As a Meteorology Content Creator, you will develop compelling written and visual content across various platforms—from articles and social media to videos and infographics. Your work will educate, inspire, and inform audiences about weather phenomena, climate patterns, and environmental developments, ensuring accuracy and engaging storytelling every step of the way.

Required Skills:

  • Strong understanding of meteorological principles and weather science
  • Excellent written communication and storytelling abilities
  • Proficiency in content creation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar)
  • Experience with social media platforms and digital content distribution
  • Ability to translate scientific data into engaging, accessible content
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Background in journalism, communications, or media production
  • Knowledge of GIS, weather modeling, or data visualization techniques
  • Experience with video editing and animation
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices for digital content
  • Passion for environmental issues and climate change advocacy

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology, Atmospheric Sciences, Journalism, Communications, or related field
  • Previous content creation or science communication experience is highly valued
  • At least 2 years of experience producing digital content in a fast-paced environment

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $45.00 to $50.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location). Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
