Data Strategist
TITLE: Data Strategist
LOCATION: REMOTE (within 100 miles of Culver City, CA; Cupertino, CA; Seattle, WA, OR NYC)
ANTICIPATED DURATION: From 04/27/2026to 04/27/2027
Responsibilities:
- Develop points of view, strategic platforms, business analyses, and creative briefs to shape innovative creative work.
- Collaborate closely with creative talent to launch new products and create customer experiences.
- Lead strategic conversations across different disciplines and levels.
- Partner with and build relationships with creative professionals across advertising, video, interactive, print, and retail.
- Develop, maintain, and evangelize strategic platforms and points of view.
- Lead development of project and creative briefs for internal teams.
- Guide the development of points of view and presentations on cultural, category, or industry topics.
- Propose and lead insight development, including primary research projects.
- Partner with Product Marketing to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Act as the global lead for products or initiatives, aligning strategies across markets.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of strategic brand planning experience.
- Deep understanding of marketing strategy, experience design, design research, or brand communications.
- Track record of leading strategic conversations across disciplines.
- Ability to build productive relationships with creative teams.
- Skilled in business and brand strategy, insights and research, and media planning.
- Strong written, visual storytelling, and presentation skills.
- Creative advertising or design agency experience with examples of briefs or case studies.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working with creative agencies like Media Arts Lab (MAL).
- Good understanding of cultural, industry, or category topics of interest.
- Experience leading primary research projects.
- Ability to develop strategic narratives from disparate information sources.
The hourly pay rate range for this position is $85.00 to $98.51 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location). Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
