TITLE: Desktop Support Technician Level I
LOCATION: Atlanta, GA
ANTICIPATED DURATION: From 01/19/2026 to 07/18/2026 Contract to Perm
Responsibilities:
- Provide end user support for PC and network hardware and software.
- Support and deploy desktops and laptops.
- Document resolutions for use by other teams.
- Accurately track all work in ITSM.
- Support ongoing device support and maintenance.
- Support and configure various equipment including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Configure and troubleshoot software applications such as email, Outlook, Office365, VPN, and more.
- Employ device management tools to support users and applications.
- Prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Support incidents and service requests from end users via phone, email, and in person.
- Maintain positive relationships with supporting teams and vendors.
- Follow policies on computer and software deployment and decommissioning.
Requirements:
- Degree or technical institute degree/certificate in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years’ experience in a technical support role supporting desktops, laptops, and personal devices.
- 1-year prior Windows Administration and Active Directory experience.
- 6+ months experience in user support and training, using Word, Excel, Outlook, and database software.
- Knowledge of MECM / SCCM.
- Experience logging and tracking issues in a ticketing system (ServiceNow preferred).
- Knowledge of Windows 10 and earlier platforms, MS Office, and macOS.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven service goal achievement.
Preferred Experience:
- Windows administration and Active Directory.
- PowerShell knowledge.
- Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) and/or CompTIA Certifications.
The hourly pay rate range for this position is $20.00 to $24.10 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
