Title: EPIC ClinDoc Analyst (Home Health/Hospice)
Location: Remote (Work PST)
Anticipated Duration: 5+ Month Contract
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Epic Inpatient Analyst with strong ClinDoc and Orders build expertise to support configuration and application changes within HealthConnect (Epic). This role will collaborate with business and clinical partners to ensure system functionality aligns with operational needs, driving high-quality build outcomes with accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:

Attain and maintain in-depth knowledge of HealthConnect application software and related business workflows.

Configure Epic applications by translating business requirements into precise technical specifications.

Partner with cross-functional teams as a liaison between HealthConnect and other departments regarding configuration and design issues.

Execute test plans for configuration validation and troubleshoot any issues identified.

Analyze workflows, data structures, report details, and other technical elements associated with Epic HIM/Inpatient applications.

Document internal design and configuration decisions for HealthConnect systems.

Collaborate with process design, interfaces, testing, and implementation teams to support seamless deployment.

Conduct evaluations and testing for new Epic releases; prioritize and implement required updates.

Engage business partners to validate requirements, build in non-production environments, follow change management processes, and implement content in production.

Communicate system changes effectively to end users and stakeholders.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
-
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Healthcare, Business, or equivalent experience.

Certifications: EpicCare Inpatient – Clinical Documentation and/or Procedure Orders certifications required.

Experience:
-
Minimum of 5+ years related Epic build/configuration experience (must have worked 3+ years post-certification).

Background in application implementation, detailed analysis, and installation of healthcare information systems.

Database management and basic software configuration skills.

Technical Expertise:
-
General Inpatient build (ClinDoc, Orders, Order Sets, Best Practice Alerts (BPAs), order transmittal).

Soft Skills:
-
Excellent time management and self-starter mentality.
-
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and results orientation.
-
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
-
Project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Epic Dorothy (Home Health) and/or Comfort (Hospice) certification.

Registered Nurse (RN) or other clinical background.
-
Prior experience interpreting data structures and HIM content.
The hourly pay range for this position (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location) is $80.00 to $90.00/hr.
