EPIC Inpatient Analyst (ClinDoc/Orders)
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Epic Inpatient Analyst with proven ClinDoc and Orders build expertise to support configuration and maintenance within HealthConnect (Epic). The ideal candidate will collaborate with business partners and technical teams to ensure application functionality meets operational requirements while delivering efficient and accurate builds.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of HealthConnect applications and related business operations.

Configure Epic applications by translating business requirements into detailed software specifications.

Serve as a liaison between HealthConnect and internal departments for configuration-related issues and resolutions.

Create and execute test plans to validate system configurations; troubleshoot and resolve identified issues.

Conduct in-depth analyses of workflows, data collection, reports, and technical issues within the Epic environment.

Document configuration and design decisions for reference and compliance.

Collaborate with process design, interfaces, testing, and implementation teams.

Perform comprehensive evaluations and testing of new Epic releases, prioritizing and implementing system updates as needed.

Communicate changes and updates to end-users prior to production deployment.

Engage with business partners to validate requirements, build in non-production environments, follow change management processes, and implement in production.

Other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
-
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Healthcare, Business, or equivalent work experience.

Certifications: EpicCare Inpatient – Clinical Documentation and/or Procedure Orders certifications required.

Experience:
-
5+ years of related Epic build/configuration experience (must have worked at least 3 years post-certification).

Demonstrated experience with application implementation, detailed analysis, and installation in healthcare IT systems.

Database management and software configuration skills.

Technical Expertise:
-
General Inpatient build experience (ClinDoc functionality, Orders, Order Sets, Best Practice Alerts (BPAs), Order Transmittal).

Soft Skills:
-
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
-
Excellent time management and ability to work independently.
-
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
-
Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives.

Accuracy and efficiency in build activities are essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Registered Nurse (RN) or other clinical background.

Experience in the healthcare industry with knowledge of data structures and interpretation of HIM data elements.
The hourly pay range for this position (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location) is $80.00 to $90.00/hr.
