Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Epic Inpatient Analyst with proven ClinDoc and Orders build expertise. The successful candidate will be responsible for system configuration, build, and implementation of Epic applications, ensuring that system functionality aligns with business and clinical needs. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver efficient and accurate builds.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Gain and maintain in-depth knowledge of Epic application software and related business workflows.

  • Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and configure Epic applications accordingly.

  • Serve as a liaison between technical teams and business partners regarding configuration and design issues.

  • Create and execute test plans to validate system configurations; troubleshoot and resolve identified issues.

  • Conduct detailed analyses of workflows, data collection, reporting, and technical challenges related to Epic applications.

  • Document internal configuration and design decisions for reference and compliance.

  • Collaborate with process design, interface, testing, and implementation teams.

  • Evaluate and test new Epic releases; prioritize and implement updates and system changes.

  • Communicate system changes to end-users and stakeholders prior to deployment.

  • Engage business partners to validate requirements, build in production, follow change management processes, and implement content efficiently and accurately.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Healthcare, Business, or equivalent work experience.

  • Certifications: EpicCare Inpatient – Clinical Documentation and/or Procedure Orders (must have at least 3 years of post-certification experience; newly certified candidates will not be considered).

  • Experience:

  • 5+ years of Epic build/configuration experience.

  • Strong background in configuration, application implementation, analysis, and installation.

  • Database management and basic software configuration skills.

  • Technical Expertise:

  • Inpatient build experience: ClinDoc functionality, Orders, Order Sets, Best Practice Alerts (BPAs), and Order Transmittal.

  • Soft Skills:

  • Excellent time management and ability to work independently.

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.

  • Proven project management abilities with experience managing multiple priorities.

  • High accuracy and efficiency in build work are essential.


    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Registered Nurse (RN) or other clinical experience.

    • Previous experience in the healthcare industry with knowledge of data structures and interpretation of HIM data elements.

      The hourly pay range for this position (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location) is $80.00 to $90.00/hr.  Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
