About the Opportunity

We are seeking a mid-level Design Consultant to support the redesign of an existing payments product. This contract role will focus on rethinking the experience with updated technology and workflows, applying brand guidelines and accessibility standards, identifying error states, and documenting specifications for revisions.

The consultant will collaborate with a Design Lead and cross-functional partners, apply editorial and style guidelines, share work with Product and Development teams, and present design deliverables to executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a Design Lead and other team members, applying design style guidelines consistently.

• Create detailed designs and validate accurate implementation in mobile interfaces.

• Share work with Product and Development teams; participate in executive-level presentations.

• Ensure alignment with accessibility requirements and usability best practices.

• Deliver high-quality, production-ready visual and interaction design with minimal direction.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in visual design (typography, color, imagery, graphics, production output) for native iOS applications.

• Expert proficiency with Figma; basic knowledge of HTML and CSS3 and their impact on design for financial applications.

• Experience creating style guides for development teams.

• Familiarity with agile project methodologies.

• Strong communication and documentation skills.

• Confident in both visual and interaction design, able to create quickly and independently.

• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

• 5–8 years of relevant experience.

• Strong background in product management, interaction design, visual design, information architecture, and usability principles.

• Excellent presentation and written/verbal communication skills.
  
  The hourly pay range for this position (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location) is $65.00 to $68.97/hr.  Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
