Title: Instructional Designer

Location: Cupertino, CA

Duration: 6+ months

Description

We are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer contractor with a strong background in training development and hands-on experience supporting internal web-based learning resources. This role will focus not only on designing and developing high-quality training content, but also on building, updating, and maintaining internal training web pages used to host and deliver learning materials.

The ideal candidate brings a solid instructional design foundation paired with technical fluency—particularly HTML and internal content platforms—and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment. Experience supporting Apple internal web pages, including Chorus, is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, and e-learning training materials

  • Create, update, and maintain internal training web pages that support learning delivery and content access

  • Apply working knowledge of HTML to format, publish, and manage training content within internal web platforms

  • Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs), business stakeholders, and technical teams to gather requirements and incorporate feedback

  • Translate complex or technical content into clear, audience-specific learning experiences

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deliverables meet timelines and quality expectations

  • Communicate project status, proactively identify risks or scope changes, and support planning adjustments

  • Support training delivery and incorporate feedback to continuously improve content

  • Execute all phases of the Training Development Life Cycle using the ADDIE model

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of instructional design experience using the ADDIE model

  • Demonstrated experience developing blended learning (ILT, VILT, and e-learning)

  • Hands-on experience working with HTML and supporting internal web-based training pages

  • Familiarity with internal content platforms such as Apple Chorus or similar enterprise tools is strongly preferred

  • Experience developing e-learning using tools such as Adobe Captivate

  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design best practices

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams

  • Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable learning new tools and platforms independently

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $50.00 to $62.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location). Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
