TITLE: IT Infrastructure Team Lead
LOCATION: Atlanta, GA, or Birmingham, AL – hybrid
Direct Hire

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to a team of technical staff responsible for maintaining and supporting critical technology systems focused on monitoring and event management and response.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, manage projects, and ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
  • Work closely with supervisors and other departments to enhance team effectiveness and drive innovation.
  • Provide product ownership and technical support of monitoring tools used by the 24x7x365 Infrastructure Operations Center for monitoring, root cause identification, and incident resolution of the computing, network, and transport infrastructure.
  • Develop work practices, processes, procedures, and documentation.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop employees.
  • Monitor team performance and report on metrics to support continuous improvement.
  • Create an inspiring team environment to drive innovation and build a trusting culture.
  • Support infrastructure product maintenance, license support, configuration customizations, product integrations, and process automation to maximize monitoring functionality.
  • Support new and modified monitoring rules and perform data investigations for day-to-day operations.

Requirements:

  • B.S., B.A., or B.B.A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Management Information Systems, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience with Infrastructure Services technologies.
  • Proven ability to provide leadership to a team.
  • Experience with IT risk assessments, internal controls, controls testing, and audits.
  • Knowledge of IT industry trends.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with competing priorities.
  • Strong customer service and negotiating skills.
  • Experience in event management, event correlation, discovery, topologies, event-driven automation, and root cause technology in a large enterprise environment.
  • Experience administering and supporting an enterprise monitoring platform.
  • Technical experience in SNMP, Microservices, PHP, Elastic, OpenSearch, HTML, CSS, SQL, containers, scripting (Perl or Python), Linux systems, shell scripting, JSON.
  • Development experience in scripting or compiled languages.
  • Ability to provide 24/7 On Call support.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in leading projects and coordinating their progress.
  • Experience in supporting service monitoring and operations management modernization.
  • Familiarity with licensing, configuration, and automation related to monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of data investigation and support for incident resolution processes.

The compensation range for this position is competitive and additionally includes a bonus, pension and 401K match (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
