Procurement Agent 1

We’re seeking a motivated Procurement Agent 1 to join our dynamic team, where your expertise will support the procurement efforts of key projects and programs. What You Will Do:
As a Procurement Agent 1, you will lead procurement activities, including sourcing, negotiations, and supplier evaluations. You’ll develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams, ensuring cost-effective and timely procurement solutions. Your role will involve analyzing supplier performance, managing procurement packages, and supporting on-site audits, all while upholding the highest standards of integrity, compliance, and ethical business conduct.

Required Skills:

  • Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Zero to three years of experience in negotiating and purchasing
  • Basic knowledge of financial analysis, activity-based costing, and supply chain principles
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to independently plan, authorize, and manage procurement contracts and changes
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with customers and suppliers

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with SAP ECC for materials management and procurement processes
  • Familiarity with Ariba and other procurement software tools
  • Knowledge of federal and state procurement regulations and contract flow-down requirements
  • Experience conducting supplier assessments and on-site audits

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • A Four-year degree or equivalent demonstrated experience in a related field
  • Experience managing procurement efforts across multiple categories and working with enterprise systems such as SAP and Ariba

Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to support supplier diversity initiatives and promote small/disadvantaged business opportunities
  • Ability to handle multiple procurement projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $20.00 to $32.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location). Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
