Product Manager / Full-Stack Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for experienced full-stack developers with product management skills to help build and support internal web applications and services. This role is ideal for a problem solver who is eager to influence not only how software works, but also how it looks and feels.

You will take initiative in problem-solving, knowing when to dive deep into details independently and when to collaborate with the team. You bring a balance of curiosity and resourcefulness—able to thrive in a constantly changing environment.

As a strong communicator, you can clearly articulate technical ideas, challenges, and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You understand that concise communication is key, whether it’s through email, documentation, or real-time collaboration.

In our small, fast-moving team, everyone wears multiple hats. You’re not afraid to get into the weeds but also know when to step back and focus on the bigger picture. You thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment and remain level-headed under shifting priorities.

Key Qualifications

1. Proficient full-stack developer with advanced experience in React (or similar front-end library), PHP, CSS, and JavaScript. Must be comfortable programming in both PHP and React.

2. Strong understanding of MVC patterns and experience with frameworks such as Laravel or Ruby on Rails.

3. Experience with PostgreSQL (or other relational databases like MySQL/SQL Server) and ability to write complex SQL queries. Some exposure to document databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB) is a plus.

4. Knowledge of automated testing frameworks (PHPUnit, Cypress, or Selenium).

5. Advanced experience with Git version control.

6. Comfortable contributing to story writing, estimation, and short sprint cycles.

7. Experience working with APIs (e.g., Wrike, Box, Slack, Quip) or ability to quickly learn integrations with third-party tools.

8. Proven experience in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.

9. Strong collaboration and team-oriented approach.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Machine Learning (ML) / AI technologies, particularly Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.

• Experience with Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration.

• Familiarity with Laravel Livewire and AlpineJS.

• Experience coding in Python.

• Experience with automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions for CI/CD).

Role Description

• Write reliable, scalable code with strong unit test coverage.

• Provide technical support and mentorship to teammates.

• Collaborate with design, engineering, business, and production teams to ensure quality and functionality across projects.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of team processes, tooling, and workflows.

Education & Tools

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred.

• Ability to quickly learn and master new tools as needed.

• Proficiency with macOS, Visual Studio Code, Terminal, Jira, Confluence, and productivity tools (e.g., Keynote, Pages, Numbers).

Additional Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant development experience.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• Passion for building high-quality digital products and delivering authentic user experiences.
  
  The hourly pay range for this position (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location) is $85.00 to $93.00/hr.  Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
