Product Owner
TITLE: Product Owner
LOCATION: Minneapolis, MN – hybrid 3 days onsite
ANTICIPATED DURATION: From 03/01/2026 to 12/31/2026
Responsibilities:
- Manage delivery execution of Real-Time Payments (RTP) and Zelle transaction processing for U.S. Bank
- Lead a team to create requirements, prioritize work, and execute within the Money Movement Platform
- Develop and refine product backlog, create user stories, and set acceptance criteria
- Act as primary liaison between business and Agile teams to communicate product vision and priorities
- Collaborate with development teams daily to address prioritization and provide feedback
- Coordinate with Product Management to set release timelines and communicate tradeoffs
- Use customer research, data, and market analysis to inform product decisions
- Present persuasively to peers and senior leadership about product progress and strategy
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- 5–8 years of product management experience
- Deep domain knowledge of Payments and Money Movement (Wire/ACH/RTP/FedNow/Zelle)
- Detailed knowledge of ISO standards
- Payments processing experience, particularly Zelle or RTP
- ISO standard (20022) experience
- Ability to manage complex programs
Preferred Experience:
- Considerable experience with product development in an Agile environment
- Strategic and implementation experience within a matrixed environment
- Knowledge of competitive market and financial services products
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Financial and competitive analysis skills
- Experience with product development, implementation, and strategic analysis within financial services or similar industries
- Well-developed ability to develop and evolve a product backlog
- Ability to develop and articulate a product vision supporting outcomes and value
- Understanding of Lean/Agile mindset
- Leadership and interpersonal skills to collaborate and empower teams
the hourly pay rate range for this position is $0.00 to $64.45 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
