TITLE: Salesforce Application Developer
LOCATION: Atlanta, Ga (Hybrid) 
ANTICIPATED DURATION: Direct Hire /Fulltime 

The Salesforce Application Developer will be responsible for production support and development projects of applications, websites and web services.  This position will leverage their technical and data expertise, company, product and industry knowledge to provide secure, resilient, and adaptive solutions for the business owners and their customers. This position will implement strategies and initiatives to enhance existing system capabilities to meet new business directives.  This position will provide support and influence through active participation in customer activities and leveraging technical and business resources from across the organization to ensure the timely delivery and support of effective business solutions. This position will execute application lifecycle strategic plans, change management and communication plans.  They will work with limited supervision and is expected that they will become a subject matter expert with deep technical knowledge within the technology team.  This role will complete projects which will include standard development using a variety of languages, web-based technologies, cognitive services and integration technologies

Salesforce Application Developer Responsibilities:

  • Provide production support and implement modifications for applications impacting SouthStar’s environment.

  • Develop and execute application lifecycle strategies, including new solution development and vendor assessments.

  • Serve as subject matter/system expert for SSE applications and represent the team with technology partners and vendors.

  • Adhere to Change Management protocols to implement updates and resolve operational or project impacts.

  • Ensure compliance with SDLC processes, regulatory requirements, audits, and change management controls.

  • Deliver configuration changes (code, databases, networks, etc.) to maintain stable computing platforms.

  • Partner with IT, business units, and vendors to meet project timelines and business needs.

  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to technical design documentation.

  • Modify, troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications.

  • Participate in system testing, deployment activities, and disaster recovery planning.

  • Support on-call rotation, independently resolving issues and assisting other personnel.

  • Manage competing priorities and deliver on project commitments in alignment with organizational goals.


 
Salesforce Application Developer Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, Mathematics, Business, or related field.

  • 5–8 years of experience in application development, methodologies, and technologies (Retail/Commercial Gas industry experience a plus).

  • Proven experience with application development, delivery, integration of third-party solutions, and production support.

  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies (Kanban, Scrum).

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver measurable business results in cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, leadership, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, priorities, and conflicting deadlines.



Salesforce Application Developer Preferred Experience:
  • Languages: C#, VB.NET, VBScript, Java, JavaScript, SQL, Python, HTML/CSS, PowerShell, VBA, AMP script

  • Databases: Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQLite, MongoDB, Azure SQL

  • Operating Systems/Platforms: Windows, Linux, AWS, Microsoft Azure

  • Development Platforms: Visual Studio.NET (C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET), Java (JVM), Python (Anaconda, CPython), Eclipse

  • Version Control: GitHub, Tortoise, VSS

  • Visualization Tools: Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Microsoft SSRS, Crystal Reports

  • CRM/ETL Tools: Salesforce CRM, Salesforce Apex, Informatica PowerCenter, Data Integration, ETL Tools, Snap Logic, Microsoft SSIS, Databricks, Snowflake, Openlink​​​​​​​


The compensation range for this position is (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
