TITLE: Social Media Manager, Content & Operations
LOCATION: Greater Chicago Metro Area (Remote/Hybrid)
ANTICIPATED DURATION: From 02/16/2026 to 02/16/2027
Responsibilities:
- Lead daily social operations, including content creation
- Create thumb-stopping content that resonates across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, including shooting original videos and taking photos
- Design static graphics and produce short-form videos while maintaining project timelines
- Coordinate content production workflows with stakeholders, managing asset requests, approvals, and publishing schedules
- Write copy for post captions and support proactive engagement efforts
- Collaborate with internal teams and agency partners to align content with brand strategy and campaign goals
- Stay ahead of social trends, platform updates, and emerging formats, including Generative AI and AI-assisted content production
- Be willing to appear on camera within produced content
- Source and vet potential creator partnership opportunities aligned with strategic objectives
- Serve as primary coordinator for external content creator relationships, managing contracts, deliverables, timelines, and quality control
- Manage brand’s organic social handles, engaging with followers via DM and maintaining brand expression
- Plan and execute social media campaigns, including platform coordination and performance tracking
- Partner with social media team members to implement performance metrics and optimize content and engagement strategies
- Maintain social media content calendars across multiple platforms ensuring strategic alignment and brand consistency
- Monitor social media trends, providing tactical recommendations for content optimization
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, design, or a related field preferred
- 2-3+ years of experience in social media management with demonstrated experience in operational coordination and campaign execution
- Excellent copywriting and communication skills
- Proven experience in content creation and coordination
- Strong graphic design, videography, photography, and video editing skills (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, etc.)
- Ability to provide a portfolio showcasing best design work or social content
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices
- Experience with social media management tools (Sprinklr preferred)
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and accountability
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with social media analytics and performance reporting
- Must have experience creating social media content related to pet care and filtration products
- Comfortable on camera, demonstrating products or actions rather than facing the camera directly
- Access to a dog or experience with dog demonstrations is highly desired
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
- Experience using content creation software and cell phone for videos
The hourly pay rate range for this position is $30.00 to $34.48 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
