Software Engineer
TITLE: Software Engineer
LOCATION: Mountain View, CA (Hybrid)
ANTICIPATED DURATION: From 04/20/2026 to 10/16/2026
Responsibilities:
- Write product or system development code without supervision, conduct testing beyond unit testing (e.g., integration, performance, stress, security, load, fuzz).
- Review other engineers’ code and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
- Identify critical components and tech debt with high carrying costs and implement remedies to improve maintainability.
- Oversee team coding, testing, and reviewing.
- Take ownership of rolling out projects, contributing to documentation, deployment, automation, and customer support.
- Set up or improve test/monitoring/survey infrastructure, systems, or practices.
- Triage and debug system issues analyzing the sources of issues and their impact.
- Design systems within the scope of their area, participate in or drive design reviews.
- Clarify problems, break down problems into solvable parts, and assess trade-offs for coherent design.
- Set and achieve business goals, support and communicate team priorities, and make key decisions.
- Prioritize work, manage resources, and make adjustments during times of change.
- Support inclusive team norms fostering belonging, psychological safety, and respect.
- Facilitate collaboration and open communication within the team.
- Encourage wellbeing and set the team up for sustained high performance.
- Make decisions that align with company values and policies.
Requirements:
- 7-10 years of experience with software development in an industry setting.
- Experience coding in C++, Java, Kotlin.
- Relevant experience dealing with large data handling and processing infrastructure.
- Relevant work experience in server-side app development framework.
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in test engineering, team management, data structures and algorithms, architecture knowledge, programming, SWE system design, code and system health, simplification, conflict resolution, data analysis and synthesis, systems thinking, code comprehension, debugging, diagnosis, and resolution.
- Master’s Degree
The hourly pay rate range for this position is $103.64 to $122.21 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
