Senior Project Manager
W2 contract until February 2027 – potential to extend or convert FTE
Fully remote working EST

We are seeking a strategic and highly proactive Project Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives within our Supply Chain and Automation domain. In this role, you will be the driving force behind project execution, seamlessly connecting the dots between hardware, software, and operational teams. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, operates independently, and brings deep domain expertise in Warehouse Control Systems (WCS) or warehouse automation.

Key Responsibilities

·       End-to-End Project Leadership: Take full ownership of project delivery. Drive the schedule, hold cross-functional teams accountable to deadlines, and ensure strict adherence to hardware (HW) and software requirements.
·       Vendor Management: Partner directly with third-party automation and mechanization vendors to ensure all external deliverables remain on schedule. Facilitate and oversee the necessary hardware, software setups within both testing labs and distribution centers.
·       Go-Live & Implementation Leadership: Drive the end-to-end implementation phase, including executing precise cutover steps during go-live. Facilitate and lead critical issue-resolution calls, maintain clear and highly accurate issue logs, relentlessly drive issues to complete closure, and report issue status transparently to leadership.
·       PMO Alignment: Collaborate closely with the Supply Chain PMO to ensure the IT project plan is seamlessly integrated and tightly aligned with the overarching master project plan.
·       Comprehensive Project Tracking: Diligently maintain and actively drive critical project artifacts, specifically the RAID log, decision tracker, and change tracker. Ensure all scope adjustments, architectural choices, and risks are documented, communicated, and formally approved.
·       Proactive Risk Mitigation: Anticipate potential roadblocks and escalate to leadership with actionable solutions well before milestones are at risk of turning yellow.
·       Independent Context Gathering: Actively participate in daily stand-ups, grooming sessions, and technical syncs to absorb project context. Partner directly with team members offline to track progress, minimizing the need for separate onboarding or alignment meetings.
·       Rigorous Task Management: Diligently capture action items and seamlessly track all tasks through to complete closure.
·       Accurate & Timely Reporting: Maintain up-to-date project plans and executive presentation decks. Prepare weekly status reports ahead of schedule, ensuring data is consistently accurate and ready for stakeholder review.
·       Executive Communication: Deliver clear, concise, and highly articulate status updates. Translate complex technical updates into easily digestible formats for leadership.
Required Qualifications
·       Experience: Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional projects from discovery through deployment, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
·       Domain Expertise: Strong background in Supply Chain operations, with specialized knowledge in Warehouse Control Systems (WCS) or automation spaces.
·       Technical Acumen: High technical aptitude with the ability to understand hardware and software dependencies, synthesize information, and connect the dots across multiple workstreams.
·       Tools & Software: Strong proficiency in project management software, particularly Smartsheet, for maintaining detailed project plans. Familiarity with Jira for agile tracking and issue management is highly valued.
·       Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to be direct, to the point, and comfortable delivering firm expectations to stakeholders and third-party vendors.
·       Problem Solving: Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, work independently, and proactively resolve issues before they impact the critical path.

The hourly pay rate for this position is $60.00-$70.00.  Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
