TITLE: Sr. Manager of Enterprise Data
LOCATION: Atlanta, GA (30339 – onsite 3 days per week)
POSITION TYPE: Direct Hire

Position Overview

The Senior Manager of Enterprise Data will have broad, hands-on experience building and managing data ecosystems. This individual will participate in all phases of the data engineering life cycle with responsibilities including writing project requirements, architecting solutions, performing data ingestion development, coaching and mentoring team members, and setting the data vision for the organization. The Senior Manager combines strong technical, analytical, and critical thinking skills with the interpersonal skills required to manage a team.

Responsibilities

  • Own and advance the enterprise information (data & integration) architecture strategy

  • Develop vision with Data Architect and manage execution of deliverables to achieve the roadmap

  • Lead teams using state-of-the-art tools and technologies to build data architecture and pipelines to acquire high-velocity real-time and batch data of different sizes and scales

  • Implement optimized and tuned data pipelines (data ingest, transformation, store, and distribution) for new use cases as well as enhancements to existing functionality

  • Ensure inbound and outbound data interfaces are appropriately developed and monitored, with accurate and timely data exchange

  • Manage scope, requirements, and risk related to development work to meet delivery commitments and expectations

  • Architect, implement, and maintain scalable data infrastructure solutions integrating varying data sources for BI reporting, analysis, machine learning models, and ad-hoc data requests

  • Lead data governance efforts by partnering with business and technology stakeholders to ensure best practices and business value

  • Direct continuous improvement of data management practices to ensure data resources are integrated, understandable, accessible, and secure

  • Stay up to date with technology trends and tools in Big Data

  • Perform ad hoc duties as needed

Requirements

  • 7+ years of software delivery experience preferred

  • 5+ years of experience building data ingestion pipelines preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field required

  • Hands-on design and development experience with multiple Data Technologies including Data Warehouse, Big Data, Data Integration, and ETL

  • ETL experience working with integration platforms such as MuleSoft

  • Hands-on experience in cloud environments, preferably Azure

  • Ability to guide and mentor team members transitioning to cloud environments and foster best practices

  • Experience with Microsoft technologies such as SSIS, SQL Server, and SSRS

  • Experience directly managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing teams

  • Proven ability to lead deeply technical teams

  • Strong project management skills, including prioritization, planning, and task delegation

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels

  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfort collaborating with cross-functional teams

  • Proactive problem-solving and effective influencing skills

  • Experience in retail or transportation environments a plus

The compensation range for this position depends on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location. Benefits available to full-time employees include medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401(k), and commuter benefits.
