Staff UX Designer

Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid – 4 days onsite, remote Fridays)
 


Overview

We’re looking for a Staff UX Designer to lead strategic design initiatives, supporting internal pricing tools that drive value for Merchandising and Product teams. This role will focus on defining the UX strategy for a new feature within an advanced pricing platform that leverages AI/ML to improve strategic price planning and decision-making.

You’ll partner closely with Product and Engineering teams to align goals, shape research and design strategy, and deliver elegant, data-driven design solutions that maximize efficiency and empower business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

UX Research & Strategy (45%)

  • Lead and participate in cross-functional discussions with Product, Engineering, and Pricing Strategy partners.

  • Align on challenges, goals, and user motivations within pricing analysis and strategy workflows.

  • Drive empathy-building and ideation sessions to define design needs and opportunities.

  • Conduct primary and secondary research, analyze insights, and explore innovative AI/ML applications.

  • Develop design aspirations and future-state concepts; support backlog prioritization and iteration planning.

  • Contribute to post-release measurement and continuous improvement plans.

UX Design Execution & Delivery (45%)

  • Lead collaborative workshops, using tools such as Miro to translate insights into actionable design direction.

  • Create research and synthesis artifacts—personas, current/future state journeys, service blueprints, and experience roadmaps.

  • Deliver detailed task analyses, user flows, screen flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes.

  • Design interfaces emphasizing data visualization, editing, filtering, approval workflows, and notifications.

  • Partner with Product and Engineering on user stories and acceptance criteria.

Experience Excellence & Governance (10%)

  • Support organization-wide initiatives related to persona development, journey management, and UX measurement.

  • Contribute to advancing design maturity through AI/ML exploration and experience metrics.


Reporting Structure

  • Reports to: Senior Manager, Enterprise UX

  • Direct Reports: None


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in UX Design, HCI, or related field.

  • 5+ years of professional UX design experience.

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of UX design experience, ideally within enterprise, retail, or merchandising environments.

  • Proven experience partnering with cross-functional teams in Product and Engineering.

  • Familiarity with emerging AI/ML practices and data-driven design.

  • Strong ability to navigate ambiguity, plan strategically, and execute complex design programs.

  • Expertise in design systems, service design, and journey mapping.

  • Exceptional visual design and storytelling skills.

  • Highly collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable working across multiple business units.

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid/Flex schedule: 4 days onsite, remote on Fridays.

  • Primary location: Atlanta, GA

The hourly pay range for this position (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location) is $65.00 to $70.00/hr.  Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
