Responsibilities:
– Design and conduct a mix of tactical and strategic research across all stages of the product development lifecycle. Supporting and conducting moderated and unmoderated studies (concept validation, rapid iterative research, surveys, literature reviews, competitive analyses, etc.).
– Identify, create, and effectively use key insights and metrics to evaluate product, service, and ecosystem impact. Utilize broad and deep understanding of the business goals, product ecosystem, user trends, and industry to guide research-driven, user-centric thinking and decision-making.
– Prioritize, plan, balance, manage, and execute prioritized work, making progress independently to achieve well-defined research objectives.
– Analyzing and interpreting data to generate insights and recommendations into compelling reports
– Build consensus and influence team to gain support for research-based, user-centric solutions. Communicate research insights and recommendations to partners or stakeholders, addressing and anticipating challenges and questions.
Minimum role qualifications:
– 5 years of experience in an applied research setting, or similar.
– Experience with research design utilizing various methods (e.g., usability studies, contextual inquiry, surveys, etc.)
– Relevant product research experience, either in an end-to-end, usability, or generative setting.
– Ability to identify research needs and underlying questions in close collaboration with product and engineering teams. Ability to prioritize research needs in line with business needs
– Knowledge of the overall process for developing products. This includes knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of engineering and other functions, major phases, checkpoints, and deliverables. This also includes the ability to identify common issues and considerations for delivering a product.
– Knowledge of the full research lifecycle from planning, to execution, to communicating insights, to impacting product and business direction or strategy
The hourly pay rate for this position is $110-$117/hr. Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
